Very good remake

This sounds very close to the original actually. I thought the song was called something else though but I guess it was just me then. The drums and synth come togehter and make a successful boss song. The bass and orchestra sound kick in and then you get reminded of just how hard and annoying it was to beat Kefka who was pretty much insane all along and absorbing the espers for no reason.

This is an excellent piece though and I commend you for that much. Thanks for bringing back a few good and hard memories of Kefka during the final battle. I really am looking forward to more songs from you. Keep having fun with them.

HighwindLegend responds:

Actually, Kefka is from FF6, but thanks all the same lol!

Ever been that close to space?

"I feel like I have been here before..."

Probably because he almost died in SA2B but this is a very sick remix and remake of a cool song. Aside from Metal Madness part 1 and Egg Fleet this was one of my favorite levels in the whole game to play again and again despite it being very hard with Team Dark and Chaotix.

The rhythm, drums, synth, and bass, all come together and recreate a beautifully chaotic scene from one of the hardest levels in the whole game especially on Hard Mode where you only had one chance to do each level. This song just brings back some good memories of when I played that game a lot.

Excellent work here.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Oh the times I wish I could go to space myself. LOL

I love this level with Team Dark. AND Chaotix. It's a good challenge. Sonic's is ok but kinda easy, and we all know how way too easy Rose's is.

I'm glad you liked the song. This here's a REAL review, and I'm glad you noticed all the details I put in. You must be some sort of music guru to actually pay attention to that sort of thing lol.

Thanks again

Sweet remix

At first I thought it was just a remakes of the original but then the piano and other sounds come in and recreate the beat in a fresh new way. Love the double beats from the drums and claps, snaps, and other variously amazing sounds. The bells for the soft parts are cool and I have never figured out what the voice was ever saying actually.

The overall flow seems to come together as a fresh new beat on a already good song from a game. Really have to say, you did some great effort here to make such a cool remixed remake of a song. Would love to hear some more.

DreamEater responds:

Haha thank you bro ^^;

I have been a big fan of this song since I was much younger, so I really wanted to put a solid amount of effort into "Re-inventing" this song; It can be hard to add to something that is already so great.

Thanks for you review, and I hope to read more from you in the future ^^

Piano and metal

Excellent piece of work actually. Starts with just a piano and then Japanese instruments start in and the guitar and drums sound amazing as well. The song has a very well put together story in itself actually. Kind of gives me a feel like two assassins had just fighting over someone they cared about deeply with the winner escorting the girl/guy they love to safety away from the burning arena.

Really like how about halfway through it picks up and becomes really heavy and awesome all at once. The solo sounds pretty tight as well. I would have to say that overall you seemed to have done an excellent job on this piece. Looking forward to more mind bending solos in the future.

DanJohansen responds:

I absolutely love fiddling with Piano and Asian instruments, they're so organic.
Thanks for listening to the piece!

Solid laying.

Has a nice and soft feel to it that still makes you have a good feel of getting up and dancing somewhat slowly with people that are actually your own friends. The synth, ambient buildup, pounding drums, and everything just come together and create a wonderful tune for everyone to get up and enjoy as well.

The flow of the song makes me feel like I just entered a dance and was intrigued by the many people but I was soon alone after discovering there was no one I knew there. I head to the bar and get a soda and look around and then head to the center and bust a move getting me a few chicks but I turn them all done because I don't know them.

Overall, a beautiful dance song, excellent work as usual.

Mich responds:

I suppose I can see where you're coming from with the feel you get with the song. It isn't quite the most jumpy dance song around, with its mellowness and all. I can actually imagine it being one of the "slow down" songs at a party, when that party's almost over.

I'm glad you like the track, and thanks for the review. :)

Sad and dramatic

It does have a very dramatic feel to it. Would go great as background music for dramatic reading of something or as background music in a sad part of the movie where a hero or friend just got killed.

Really like when you began to speed it up though as it sounded really beautiful. Good job on this short and dramatically sad piece.

Ghecko responds:

Totally man. I was crying like a bitch when I made this. Not really, but ya.

Solid sounding

Has a pretty good solid sound and beat to it. Kind of makes me think of flowers in an odd way and kind of makes me sad yet it sounds happy. Makes me feel like I am at school dance again and no one wants me around unless they want to make fun of the way I dance to the song in the right way over doing it the dumb way.

This song is very beautiful though, kind of makes you feel like there is hope in one's heart that they might someday feel accepted for who they are but until then they do what that do best which is be themsevles.

Very cool song, liked it.

Tyurru responds:

Aww, Thanks, Great Reveiw!

Sounds kind of creepy

I have no idea why but the voice kind of creeps me out a bit for some reason along with the ambient piano at the start. When it turns a bit into chiptune it turns to be a bit creepier but not by much. The drums and synth sound very nice though. The bass is singly solid though so that turned out pretty good anyways.

What is the voice saying anyway and what song or cartoon did it come from? Sounds like a weird version of Betty Boop. This song is pretty decent overall though albeit it creeps me out though but that is just my opinion though.

Overall, very nice job here, good luck with future dubsteps.

Flamingweeny responds:

that voice also creeps me out :P i think i'm gonna take it out...and it's a sample from a soundbank i bought, shitty sample if you ask me but it's not from a cartoon.
thanks for the rating

Very iffy

The intro didn't sound very good and the overly loud bass line didn't help very much either sadly. If you lowered the decibels of the bass I think this could possibly sound a lot better actually. I can hear the synth, drums, and the build up sounds just fine.

If I really had any suggestions for how to make this song it would be to lower the sound of the bass so it doesn't ruin the quality of the song. Aside from the obnoxiously loud bass, the song could have been better.

Good luck with future pieces.

Nog194 responds:

Thanks, when I exported it from the program it got louder for some strange reason. I'm gonna re-upload it once I figured out the problem. It seems kinda slow too. Well, I've got some work to do. Thanks again for pointing that out!

**I've "re made" it. Hope it sounds better! http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/398078

Not bad

Although I prefer the original full and awesome version over this shorter remade piece. I really don't see that much of a difference aside from sounding more retro and adding in a few different sounds to it while speeding up the tempo at the same time.

Still though, I guess it sounds alright. Work on more and keep them lengthy as if they were all telling their own kind of story, those appear to be a lot cooler actually. Not bad though for a short quick redux song though.

cybervegeto22 responds:

It's actually the same tempo; it just sounds faster because of the arp I added. This one is strictly for flash games or anything where people want a constant background sound that is at the same time not too repetitive.
I am definitely trying to keep my songs lengthy; I am working on about 8 more right now, but all are going incredibly slow - not because there are so many to focus on, but because they're all trying to 'tell a [very difficult] story.' :P
Thanks for the review!
