Ambience

Kind of reminds me of the water levels from the first Donkey Kong Country but a little less creepy actually. Never got to play DKC2 though, always wanted to though. Was the game any good?

The synth plays a good beat and I like how it has a constant feeling of rising up too which makes it cool to hear to my ears anyways. The bass line has the similar effect too and sounds nice. Like the drums playing that simple beat they got.

The secondary sounds I hear provide a lot of ambient tone for this. It just makes it sound like you were exploring some area that had not been touched by anything in ages too. Really nice effect.

Overall, wonderful cover piece, sounds really nice.

teckworks responds:

Oh, yes it was. It was heralded as the best in the series. The game's got about 2+ hours of playtime compared to DKC1 if you want to complete it 100%. Plus great graphics and a stellar soundtrack to go with it. Thanks for the feedback, good sir~ :>

Soothing

I found this to be a nice and soothing house piece at least. Makes you feel real calm and relaxed as you listen to this short piece. Very nice and pleasing though, nice work here.

The synth sounds pretty hoppy but also as if it were trying to lure you in while a new song prepares to be played. The bass line remains soft and in the backing area supporting the song and helping it move along. The drums are cool sounding and I like how they feel here too, really good.

Overall, soothing house loop.

thank you mate! very great words you are saying ;D

Good remake

That shepard note just fills you with absolute dread every time you hear it like all the happiness was being sucked out of you the whole time too. Really nice yet simple remake though with just a sheperd note, bass, and some up and down sounding keyboard effects as well. Very nice and creepy loop here.

Majorgeneral responds:

Thanks :3

Dark

Sounds great though. Could have been made a bit darker with the sound of light winds and rain blowing everywhere too to make it sadder. Very dark stuff though and a good remix.

The drums are good though, add a bit of a happy kick into the song anyways. The synth is nice and sounds happy though. The clicking sound that provides the up and down feel of Lavender Town is nice to hear. The bass line sounds heavy and very dark too so that went well I think, nicely worked.

Overall, good remix.

RIBBOT responds:

Thanks :)
I'm still not fully familiar with how Fl studio works.
But i'm finding out more stuff every now and then

Groovy

Those WarioWare games always had a whole lot of quirky tunes going on. Really like this one though as it feels pretty awesome though and I like it a lot.

The bass is very nice on this. Also liking the synth and guitar used to make this sound over the top too. It just makes you feel invincible like the games. Really like the quirky aspect of it too. The drums are nicely done and sound like a drum roll in a weird way.

Overall, funky remake and tribute to Mario.

I very much appreciate your feedback. I apologise for the incredibly late response, but most don't seem to review my work on Newgrounds, so I tend not to check... o.o

Nice remake

Have to say it also does relax you quite a lot too. You just feel as if you were there with Mario/Luigi looking for the stars by completing tasks in the area. Very relaxing remake though.

The background bass is deep and kind of gives an area check too I think since it feels like it just embodies your ears and snuggles them. The organ and synths both remix together to create a main atmosphere and immerse you into happiness as well.

The drums add some hyper activity to it and make you feel strange. Really like how they just make you feel active as you go through the level.

Overall, nice remake.

Wow, thanks so much for the review. This is the exact kind of response I'd hoped this would evoke, and I'm glad it did for you. :)

Grteat remake

This is a thrilling remake of the Sonic 2 theme anyways. Love how it just gets you very pumped and excited as you continue to listen to it the full way. Really great remix of the theme though.

The guitar is amazingly well done and sounds mind blowing too. The bass is furious I hear it in the back playing quickly. The drums are also cool since it is double bass almost the full time the song is playing.

Overall, excellent remake of the theme.

Metaljonus responds:

Hell ya! I love the original too its slower but just as epic lol. Thanks for the review!

Creeped

Nice job of adding rain and slight thunder sounds to the background. It gives the tune a really creepy atmosphere to it actually. Kind of feels a lot sadder now. If only it had something really creepy added like the voice of the ghosts from the tower or something going "Get... out.... Get.... out", I think it would sound even creepier you know?

The piano sounds very sad and remorseful. Also is it me or is it for some reason a slight possibility that Cubone might have helped kill it's own mother at the tower by ripping off her skull to wear for some reason? Creepy.

The slight ambient background sounds make this piece just feel really sad and entirely creepy as well. Nice work on this. Would make great for a Pokemon remake I think.

Overall, great creepy remake.

Numi responds:

Thanks for the kind words. This is precisely what I was going for, it's nice to hear I hit my mark :D Glad you thought it was good!

Really great

You have potential, this is just a really great sounding piece though. You seem to have a start on this one too. Should make an extended version of this or more songs like this since they just sound pretty awesome the full way, awesome piece though.

Love how it is partial dubstep here. The synth sounds cheery and the claps make it all better. The voice is awesome, who's voice is it? The drums are pretty sweet and I like the high sound at the end.

Overall, cool piece of work.

Lugia

Used to love watching that movie when I was younger. Nice recreation of the Lugia song as well. Just as all hope is lost the tune is played and Lugia came back and beat that guy trying to forcefully capture the legendary birds.

Ocarina-Kid responds:

I used to love watching it too, such a good movie back in the day. Thanks for the review man, glad you liked it!
