Star Battle

I think the song was called Otherworldly Foe actually. This is just a really cool take on it and passes off a bit more creepy feel and there is no leitmotif in this version sadly.

The synth has a dark feel to it that makes it feel even darker. Then you got those phaser sounds that kind of make you think of the PSI attacks they tended to launch at you. The bass line is very nice and smooth which is quite well. The drums are very cool and sound very nice too.

Overall, nice cover remix.

Pretty nice

The only things missing are the heavy breathing at start and a far more creepy tone to it where most of the instruments tended to have an echo effect to them as well. Still seems to be creepy but makes me think more of Resident Evil than Giygas.

The bass was a very nice work of art you did with this one though. The synth sounds completely light yet it can also be very loud at certain other times as well. It still sounds very well done though.

Overall, close to creepy.

Great remix

Have to say though she was one tough cookie and ironically the only female champion in the series. She was pretty much Blue's counterpart three generation away which is a very nice change from themed champions. This remake is very pleasing though.

The synth sounds really good and very fast too which makes it all the more better and enjoyable to listen to I think. The bass line is very smooth and under the layers to make a very nice little tone. The drums sound rather well done and nicely done in on this one, I really like what you did here, great job making this.

Overall, thanks for doing a remake.

Laguna a gun man

My gosh yes this is awesome! I just had so much fun doing the battles in the dream sequence because this always played during the fights boss or not. It just had a really cool and literal dreamy battle atmosphere to it. It really just captured what the battles from the past and dream must have been like for all of them too.

The synth sounds so amazing here as it plays several tones at once. The bass line is pumping and pretty cool too as it continues forth to help give a feel of winning. The drums sound cool and I like the little rapid clap sounds heard as well since they give off a feeling of being great.

The little gun and sword sounds were a little nice addition to the mix I think.

Overall, awesome remake here.

Gario responds:

Glad you enjoyed the track. The claps were something I virtually took straight from the source - they just were too awesome to leave out. Though listening back to it I may have mixed them a little too far to the front, but it's pretty old now; no use worrying about it.

;)

Great remake

Find it funny how unique the Deoxys theme is since it was the only one with a space atmosphere too it despite Clefairy and a few others coming from places not of Earth or whatever planet they live on.

The drums were cool and sounded rather pleasing to me as well so I was quite pleased to hear them the way they turned out after all too. The synth sounded nice and I liked the wet slap sound coming from the drums. The bass line was soft and cool.

Overall, awesome remake of the space Deoxys battle theme.

BallinFatty responds:

i thought i responded to this already... sorry this review response is almost a year late... i didn't catch it here till just now. the deoxys theme is a very unique. it doesn't sound like any other track from any other pokemon game i recall (not counting black and white, havent played them, dont plan on it either...). thats one of the few reasons i remixed/remade it. i'm glad you enjoyed it. thanks for the review and your time in listening!!

Solid remake

The drums certainly help catch the atmosphere of those ships. If you were lucky enough you would have a P-Wing to use on the Koopaling airships to help you never take a hit from anything. Then came those Bowser tank and ship levels at the end.

The synth sounds very nice and I like how it just plays a very closely and nicely done happier sounding remix of the airship/tank theme. The drums sound very nice as well since they help provide the main beat on this one.

Overall, sweet ship remix.

Odd times

When I first entered the base this theme always made me feel weird for some reason yet oddly happy as well since I was coming to the climax and near the ending of the game as after this place there was only one more place left to go to. Very awesome hardcore remix though.

The synth and piano work well together as they provide the main piece of this theme and help give a rave like feel to the song. Then the bass line sounds quite wet and helps make the beat nearly whole as well. I don't really hear any drums here actually.

Overall, nice remix, good times, good game.

Battle!!

Oh yes was the game awesome but sometimes the trainers would battle you at the worst time and only annoyed you to no end when you did have a type disadvantage against them that always got you. Have to say though, really nice remix of the battle theme from those games.

The guitar sounds good and I like the use of doubles for when it feels like the battle tune is rising and then it has the constant quick breakdowns that make you feel it could take awhile to beat your opponent at long last. The bass sounded quite pleasing here and very calming. The drums were the nice piece here as well since they made the song sound quite splendid and added the harsh pounding feeling needed.

Overall, nice remix.

Cool metal mix

I remember just how annoying it was getting to them but once you got there they were way too easy and more of a joke battle than anything else. Really have to say though that I always liked the joke like atmosphere of the area since you knew it would be easy. Also had a slight beach like sound to it actually.

The guitars sound awesome and the solo was rather amazing and pretty cool to me anyways. The keyboard sounded great when it did a breakdown and then went back to playing the main beat and being great sounding.

The bass line sounded smooth and very nicely worked on this one too. The drums were very cool and I really loved the use of double bass on the one part of the song too. It just made it all the better to listen to.

Overall, very amazing metal remake.

Bowser keyblade? XD

Well it kind of makes you feel weird and imagine Bowser holding a fire based keyblade of some kind in his claws as he does battle with Mario who is probably annoyed of him after all these years yet they play games together in the Mario Party series.

The trumpets sound quite nice and pleasing here. The piano and synth both work together to provide a smooth yet oddly desperate sounding piece of the song as the battle progresses between Bowser and Mario.

The drums play a battle march that kind of gets you warmed up and pumped for the battle at hand as you quickly keep trying to dodge and counter all of his new and strangely faster keyblade attacks. The bass line is very simple yet nice at the same time, kind of makes you think of airplanes flying.

Overall, very nice beat.
